One day of last August, I was in a garden of France castle ,talked about the exhibition showed in castle with Princesse Minnie DE Beauvau-Craon .She mentioned: quot;Hamish Bowles had been here several days ago,and he was going to have a not long ago, he is going to have a exhibitionhad of Balenciaga in the United States .I very surprise!　
After returning to the United States, I enjoyed the exhibition held by New York Spanish Sophia queen on November .The exhibition called quot;Balenciaga, the Spanish master,quot; its curator is Hamish Bowles.Spain’s Sophie queen also visited New York exhibition opening ceremony, presided the opening ceremony .　　
At the begging of the year, de Young Museum moved to San Francisco, to enrich the western United States collection and be on show after enlarge the scale of exhibition.The time of exhibition is on March 26,-July 4,its theme called Balenciaga and Spain.　　
Hamish Bowles is a famous fashion edit, curators and fashion collectors.I had watched the retrospective show of Balenciaga at Louvre museum in Paris in 2006 ,and I had seen his collection which is a daytime dress of 1950-60 s .His that collection also lent to exhibition.This exhibition is from the New York designer Oscar de la Renta’s idea , because he had been trained in one of the branch company of Balenciaga for his first job,he won’t forget he predecessors for life.He invited enthusiastic collectors of Balenciaga works and senior media people Hamish Bowles made the exhibition.It is hard for Hamish Bowles to refuse,who was famouse for quot;Jacqueline Kennedy’s White House yearsquot; –Cristobal Balenciaga (1895 1972), even Coco Chanel admire very much, even Christian also gave highly praise,quot;He is a really masterone of us!quot;
Mysterious Balenciaga, his fashion garment can luxuriant and grand ,also can be lightsome and soft. There is a series of evening long skirt in 1958 summer , looking from the file photo, it’s hard to pick out the beautiful light color like lazuli . But when I saw it on the exhibition ,I was immediately attracted by it .
One of the surprise of the exhibition was that I saw the winter product in 1967 , full of sculpture, more contemporary and contracted pioneer. This line model is really very radical avant-garde. No wonder Balenciaga also have huge influence until now.
